The Triple Helix Lecture Series
The Triple Helix is a student society that aims to raise the standard of debate surrounding issues of science and technology in society. To this end we publish a termly, academic-reviewed journal entitled “The Science in Society Review”, organise outreach workshops with schools and run this series of lectures.
The aim of these panel debates and talks is to present a range of different perspectives on an issue, so that the science is considered along with its legal, political and ethical implications. All our events therefore feature distinguished academics and policymakers, so you can hear from experts in each field.
Our focus is also on audience participation. In panel debates after a 5-10 minute talk from each speaker, the debate is opened to questions and comments from the floor so you can have your say. In our talks, a question and answer session will follow a longer presentation.

We look forward to welcoming you there!
