Abstract
The fossil record contains a vast treasure trove of information, but what can it tell us about predators â and why do we care? I will be talking about how far we can use fossils to infer life habits, behaviour and ecosystem impacts of marine predators â and where we can turn when the record is incomplete. (A caution for the faint of heart: the talk may contain references to cannibalism. In snails. Take warning.)
