Abstract
The aim of this talk is to give to the audience an overview how the High Performance Community is tackling Data Science and Big Data Analytics at scale using High Performance Computing hardware, tools and tecniques. This talk does not want to promote any specific technology or methodology, it is an aggregation of information collected from various sources all pointing toward a common direction in how Machine Learning at scale and Big Data techinques will help solve big science problems. An overview of the Cambridge newly estabilish “Cambridge Service for data-Driven Discovery” (CSD3) will be presented at the end, explaining how PhD students of the CDT and scientific PIs can access resources and carry on effectively their data science work.
Series This talk is part of the Data Intensive Science Seminar Series series.
