Abstract
How illusions and magic arts training can reframe the educational experience, leading to more efficient knowledge communication. From role model building to identifying innovative solutions and from questioning what we see to creating perception preparedness, this seminar will discover the multiple possibilities and the hidden, admirable elements that make our minds magical! We will explore how we perceive and understand the world we live in, while we demonstrate methods to support our students leap to the future drawing inspiration from nature and from our concealed multiple magical intelligences! The discussion will conclude with magic-based research method opportunities and challenges.
Antonia Symeonidou holds a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Cambridge and is the co-founder and director of the Academy of Magic & Science, the educational project that architects “fantascientific experiences” through visual storytelling interweaving mystery, wonder and technology that can be perceived as magical! The Academy was created in the Accelerator of the Judge Business School and is the sole official educational partner of the World Federation of Magical Societies (FISM).
