Abstract
Nick Butler will talk about why the current energy balance is unsustainable and what we can do to restore sustainability. He will also talk about the work of the Cambridge Centre for Energy Studies.
After reading Economics at Cambridge Nick Butler joined BP and stayed for 29 years, eventually becoming Group Vice President for strategy and policy. He is now Chairman of the Cambridge Centre for Energy Studies based at the Judge Business School. The focus of the CCES is on energy security which ranges from Russia to climate change to the future of the Arctic.
