Ben Weiss (MIT) and James Bryson (Cambridge Earth Sciences) will be presenting some of their latest work on using the magnetic record of meteorites to reconstruct conditions in the early solar nebula. In particular, estimates of the solar nebula’s magnetic field, the location at which meteorites formed, and chemical mixing within the disk.
