Abstract
Optiver is a leading proprietary trading firm, running a global network with thousands of high-performing low-latency applications, generating petabytes of data every day. We are designing and deploying systems based on FPGA âs as critical components within our trading systems, and through these we manage to have sub-microsecond reaction times in response to market events. During this lecture we will cover topics such as: Why you would design custom electronics for trading? What type of trading problems are FPG As suited towards? What is the engineering philosophy at work in Optiver? Is this for real?
