Abstract
Dr Sam Brockington will discuss harnessing the network of global botanic gardens for metabolic engineering and synthetic biology. Andre Holzer (Dept. of Plant Sciences) and Max Stammnitz will present their work on Puntseq, a citizen science project that uses a real-time portable DNA analyser to quantify microbial pathogens within the Cam. https://www.puntseq.co.uk/
Prof Jim Haseloff will also demo plant macrophotography using a Panasonic camera and lens system developed for liverwort imaging.
