Abstract
Many people think that programming is just about writing code. While that is a reasonable assumption, most of any programmer’s time is actually spent reading code, compiling and testing it. All of these activities would go by much faster if you just… removed some of that code.
In this talk I will tell you why I believe less code is usually better. I will share 5 lessons about improving the quality of your code using the delete key, and I will show you examples from my personal experience. In the end you will be fully equipped (and hopefully convinced) to become a code remover like me!
