Abstract
The LHC has produced over 1000 data analysis papers, most of them searches for new physics, and currently all without statistically significant smoking guns. But these results are mostly independent of each other, and often explored in terms of simplified models which aren’t the whole story: have we really excluded either more or less than a literature survey would suggest? In this talk I’ll give a tour of some active projects in phenomenological “recasting”—Contur, TopFitter, and Gambit—and the methods we’re using to give second life to LHC data analyses.
