Abstract
There is often thought to be an intrinsic link between binocular vision and the dexterity of the human hand. In this talk, I will explore whether the role of binocular vision in the control of hand movements represents a ‘functional specialismโ, or is better understood as providing one signal of many, in a system that makes best use of the available information in a given instance.
