Abstract
Gromov’s density model of random groups has been of great interest to geometric group theorists – in this model the number of generators is fixed and the length of relators tends to infinity. Zuk introduced the triangular model, where the length of relators is fixed at three, as an approximation to the density model, and used this to prove Property (T) for the density model. Odrzygóźdź introduced the square model, proving various properties for this. In this talk we study random groups where the relator length is fixed at an arbitrary integer k. Joint work with C. Roney-Dougal.
