Medical device development is fraught with hurdles and often involves a variety of challenges spanning many different disciplines. This presentation aims to give a broad overview of the device development process and the considerations for gaining approval of combination products. Real world examples are used to show how mechanical engineering and innovation can be utilised to develop combination products and ultimately improve patients’ lives.
