Abstract
A core part of the design process is collaboration, harnessing specialist expertise often in meetings but we understand relatively little about how meetings serve teams of designers and their work. In this talk, we’ll explore an emerging picture of meetings as part a complex system of work, captured in a single model. Panning out to a systems level reveals a series of seven structures which together create the conditions for valuable participatory behaviours and create the potential to deliver more value back into teams, projects, people and organisations.
