Abstract
I will start by explaining how graph-complexes (or rather graph-spaces) appear in the study of Vassiliev invariants (also called finite type invariants) of the usual knots and links in R^3. I will then talk about Haefliger’s computations of isotopy classes of higher dimensional links and then about the rational homotopy type of embedding spaces with target the Euclidean space. At some point I will also speak about the spaces of long embeddings and how they are related to the deformation theory of the little discs operads.
