Weinstein Handlebodies for Compliments of Smoothed Toric Divisors

Abstract
A Weinstein domain is a symplectic manifold with convex contact type boundary which can be described by a set of symplectic handles and their attaching information. Thus, Weinstein handlebodies are a neat topological and diagrammatic way to study certain symplectic manifolds. In this talk, I will introduce Weinstein domains and their handle structures and demonstrate with an example an algorithm for constructing the Weinstein handlebodies of the complement of a smoothed toric divisor. This is joint work with Bahar Acu, Orsola Capovilla-Searle, Agnes Gadbled, Aleksandra Marinkoviฤ, Emmy Murphy, and Laura Starkston.
