Abstract
In this talk, I will discuss the dynamics of multiphase buoyant plumes and fountains, in which the slip speed between the phases may become significant to the dynamics.
Examples will include the dynamics of particle plumes descending through the ocean, associated with deep sea mining, and bubble or droplet plumes to mix reservoirs or released from dissociation of methane hydrates, as well as the role of particles in large volcanic eruption plumes.
