Abstract
In contrast to existing quantum money schemes, S-money tokens are practical to implement with current technology by not requiring quantum memories. We present practical S-money protocols extending previous protocols to a realistic setting considering losses, errors, etc. For suitable experimental parameters, our schemes satisfy, unforgeability, i.e. Alice cannot make Bob validate a token at more than one presentation point, and future privacy, i. e. Bob cannot know where Alice will present the token. We performed experimental tests of the quantum communication stage using hand-held optical devices and showed the viability of our schemes after refining our setup.
