Abstract
A history of one of Cambridge’s largest industrial sites of the 19th and 20th centuries: the Cambridge University and Town Gas-Light Company.
Relive the sights (and smells!) as the gas works brought illumination to the town’s streets, delivered energy utilities to local homes and shaped modern Cambridge’s urban development.
Cambridge Industrial Archaeology Society, hosted at Cambridge Museum of Technology, Monday 20 April 2020 at 7.45pm. £3 for non-members.
