Abstract
I intend to give a brief overview of the development of forensic genetics over the last 20 years and discuss some of the controversial aspects such as the national DNA database and the use of very sensitive low copy number (LCN) PCR . I’ll then discuss the identification of human remains following mass disasters and conflict.
