Abstract
Ever wished you had x-ray vision? Ever wished you could see through walls or the floor? In recent years archaeologists have been doing just that; as techniques of remote sensing become more popular we really can ‘see beneath the soil’. This lecture explores such work on towns in Roman Italy.
