Prof Huppert, expert in fluid mechanics and their application in the Earth Sciences, will explain the scientific background to earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions etc. with a series of fascinating, live experiments. Along the way, he will illustrate their radically different consequences on the developed and developing countries.
