Abstract
”What does computer science need next(other than a few more women)?β
Academic researchers are continually shaping the directions of a field and inventing the future. However, industrial researchers often have different ideas of what that future might be and how to get there.
Come join Alma Whitten, an experienced Google researcher specializing in privacy, for a round table discussion over lunch. The format of this session will differ from those in the past, in that everyone is encouraged to participate in the debate. PhD students and undergraduates and are particularly welcome to add their voices.
