Abstract
We have an addiction to fossil fuels, and it’s not sustainable. To have a meaningful discussion of sustainable energy, we need clear, simple numbers, so that we can understand just how big the challenge is, and avoid being conned by greenwash and grand-sounding schemes that don’t actually work. This talk will dispel some myths, will challenge pre-conceptions, and will focus attention on actions that really make a difference.
David MacKay is a Professor in Physics at the University of Cambridge. He has just published a book on sustainable energy.
