Abstract
Mass-sensor deployments have difficulties with data representation beyond traditional graph charts and choropleth maps. The problem is further exacerbated in real-time data platforms where the spatiotemporal factors of the incoming data create additional dimensionality in addition to readings and timestamps pairs. The talklet presents how these challenges can be tackled in a smart building sensor deployments through the creation of interactive heatmaps that display sensor data and its timeliness properties.
Bio: Justas Brazauskas currently works as a Research Assistant focusing on the Internet of Things, Human-Computer Interaction and Smart Spaces. His previous research experience includes two summers spent at York Cross-disciplinary Centre for Systems Analysis (YCCSA) and UCL Interaction Center (UCLIC). He graduated in 2019 from UCL âs BASc degree in Sciences and Engineering.
