Nature is full of interesting and clever ideas that we can apply to problems in different industries.

One of those is evolution, thanks to which nature managed to create beings that, while not perfect, thrive in nature’s chaotic environment.

We can use this process of evolution to approximate optimal solutions to other problems we encounter.

In this talk, I will explain the fundamentals of evolutionary algorithms, compare a few of the more popular types and walk through the process of one such algorithm.
