LaTeX is widely used in the world of academia, among others. It is capable of presenting complex mathematical equations and symbols, and is thus popular among mathematicians and computer scientists.

This talk will attempt to shed light on the inner workings of TeX and covers a range of related topics from the history of typesetting to the inner workings and mechanics of TeX and LaTeX.
