Abstract
Analogue computers were once widely used in scientific applications to perform a variety of simulations. However, they have been largely neglected in favour of digital computing apart from use in certain applications.
This talk will discuss the historical uses of analogue computers, explain how we can use analogue computers to solve second order differential equations and contemporary uses analogue computers still have today.
Series This talk is part of the Churchill CompSci Talks series.
