Abstract
With modern web frameworks, the webpages we see no longer exist as a hierarchy of HTML files stored on the webserver that we access by filename. This talk explores the process of serving web pages from the time the user keys in the address till the webpage is returned to them and what role modern frameworks play. It also compares how this process has changed from previous static websites and server-side frameworks. Finally, we will explore the benefits that modern frameworks provide and how it helps us when we browse the internet today.
