Abstract
‘Child Murder by Mothers: Clinical & Legal Considerations’
Child murder by mothers, has occurred throughout history and around the world. Child murder by mothers includes maternal filicide, infanticide, and neonaticide. This presentation will review the motives for child murder by parents, as well as research data about this population. Infanticide laws will also be discussed, as will considerations for prevention.
