Dr Pisani has worked all around Asia and Europe as both a journalist and epidemiologist recently acting as advisor to such organisations as the UNAIDS , The World Bank and the WHO . She is a controversial critic of international HIV /AIDS policy and the author of ‘The Wisdom of Whores: Bureaucrats, Brothels and the Business of AIDS ’
