Abstract
Professor Efron, Koret Professor of Jewish History at UC Berkeley, will be speaking about his book, Medicine and German Jews: A History.
In Medicine and the German Jews, Professor Efron eloquently traces the fascinating relationship between Jewish physicians and German patients from late medieval times to the extreme tension between these two groups under the Nazi regime. This groundbreaking study not only fills major gaps in German and Jewish history and the history of medicine, but also provides provocative insights into German and Jewish culture. Please join us at Heffers Bookshop for Professor Efron’s lecture. Questions to follow.
