Abstract
Space robots have revolutionised our understanding of the outer solar system. For example, Cassini showed us that Saturnβs small moon Enceladus was active, and New Horizons showed us that Pluto is too. We will discuss what we know about this activity, its implications, and the bumps along the way in discovering them. We will also look ahead to two upcoming missions, and what they will teach us about activity, habitability and the history of our solar system: Lucy and Europa Clipper.
