Abstract
Slides available .
DTrace is a tool for measuring software. It allows you to collect and analyse performance metrics and functional behaviour on live systems, writing relatively little code and incurring small overhead. This talk will introduce DTrace, show some examples, and illustrate how I have used it for quick-and-dirty instrumentation of SBus. I’ll also tell you why you probably can’t have it.
Series This talk is part of the Computer Laboratory Opera Group Seminars series.
