Abstract
DCH Tower located at Dubai Creek Harbour. The total height of the structure is 1145.2m (316 stories). The DCH tower main structure consists of 220 stay cables and R.C. core. The prestressing stay cables top ends are connected to the core and their bottom ends are connected to the cable anchorage foundations. The whole structural lateral stiffness are mainly provided by the stay cables.
The review and Optimization of the DCH tower tender design (by USA Calatrava) are introduced in this talk, and the design philosophy of this kind innovative structural system is proposed finally.
Series This talk is part of the Engineering Department Structures Research Seminars series.
