Abstract
The program includes papers dealing with infant death from medical and literary perspective, as well as papers on art history. Topics include: sudden-infant death syndrome (Cot-death) and child protection issues, perinatal mortality. Victorian funereal photography, 19th Century Infanticide, Infant Death and the Romantics, Victorian Fairytales and eighteenth-century elegy.
