Charles Darwin as scientific hero.

Charles Darwin is uniquely important to scientists themselves as an embodiment of scientific virtues and I shall explore why this should be. Those evolutionists who would seek to describe an overarching design in the history of life nonetheless manage to finish up with diametrically opposed visions of “what it all means”. I will explore the facts that have led to such opposing certainties, and attempt a compromise
