Abstract

The financial world is in meltdown, and the non-financial sectors of the global economy are following suit. How did the theorists believe so many impossible things for so long?  And how did their teachings so transform the world’s capital markets and banking system as to enable the greatest crisis in 75 years?

Bill received his doctorate in economics from Cambridge University and was an undergraduate at Princeton. He is currently a senior advisor at Warburg Pincus, a private equity firm managing over $35 billion in assets.

Bill’s experience lies in information technology and he is also Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Cambridge in America, Co-Chair of Cambridge’s 800th Anniversary Campaign. Dr. Janeway is also a member of the board of directors of the Social Science Research Council.
