Abstract
None of us can predict the future. But this talk investigates how we may be able to use mathematics to help give us an idea of how likely certain important events are to happen, such as winning the lottery, getting a serious disease, watching your football team lose, or spontaneously bursting into flames.
This is a special lecture as part of the Cambridge Science Festival – no tickets are required, but please arrive in good time
Series This talk is part of the MMP public and schools' events series.
