Abstract
Humans have always been close observers of our animals who play a major role in many cultures, as gods, as devils, as food, as power. Evolution forces us to look for continuities. Do we possess instincts? Do animals possess intellects? Professor Aubrey Manning outlines fascinating and contentious research on both topics.
