Abstract
Over 5 billion hours of video are played online every day. In the last 4 weeks, over 60% of internet users have experienced online harm. But despite a growing problem, developing an adequate content moderation solution is an extremely challenging task. How can we build AI models that can interpret context, and make sense of all the signals that might be critical to a moderation decision, such as understanding the visual, audio and textual signals of a video. Unitary are processing millions of videos a day from the world’s largest social networks, deploying multimodal models at scale to tackle this ever-evolving challenge. We will also touch on the societal consequences of AI and how the community tackles them.
