Abstract
题目： “进化”与“进步”——悬而未决？ “进化”与“进步”是人类思想史中的两个重要观念，本次对话将以它们为关键词，关注两者之间的关系（或没关系），分析达尔文、钱伯斯、斯宾塞、Huxley等人对此问题的不同看法，探讨其与人类社会进化问题的相关性。
‘Evolution ’ and ‘Development’ are two important factors of Intellectual History. They will be the keywords of the third round table discussion of CRSS . During this session fellow scholars will discuss about the relationship between ‘evolution’ and ‘development’，compare the opinions of Darwin, Chambers, Spencer, Huxley on this pending question, as well as its relevance to the evolution of human society.
