Wave transport through (not quite) disordered waveguides

Abstract
Disordered media are known to exhibit, beyond opacity, remarkable properties: enhanced backscattering, conductance fluctuations, Anderson localization, or the bimodal distribution of the transmission eigenvalues that characterizes the diffusive regime. In this talk will be discussed some effects on the wave transport of adding a bit a regularity, such as mirror symmetry or disorder correlation through hyperuniformity.
