Abstract
Please join us in-person or online for another fundraising event – an illustrated talk about our shared history which explores the place and role of material and visual culture in British-Russian relations from the early modern period to the Russian Revolution. Connect to the legacy of the artistic exchanges which serve to better understand our cultural roots and their interconnections over the centuries.

From the first map of Russia, which was created based on the drawings of the English explorer Anthony Jenkinson (1562-1611); the first court portraits of Peter the Great, painted in London by the German artist Sir Godfrey Kneller – to the furs, dogs and domestic photographs that the British and Russian royal families exchanged throughout history.
All profits will be donated to the CamRuSS for Ukrainians Hardship Fund.
