The concept of dark matter (DM) originates partly from the study of rotation curves in the 70s. Soon, shallow DM profiles (cores) were found in small galaxies instead of the steep (cusp) profiles expected from DM simulations. With the advancements in IFU technology and techniques, it is now possible to probe DM from the rotation curves of distant galaxies. We will show the current constraints on DM from MUSE surveys and discuss the prospects for the future.
