Symplectic Cohomology and Viterbo Functoriality

In this talk, we will review some computations and results in symplectic cohomology. We will sketch the proof of Viterbo’s theorem that a Liouville manifold X with SH(X;Z2)=0 does not admit a closed exact Lagrangian submanifold. We will then sketch Viterbo and Abouzaid-Seidel’s “neck-stretching” picture, and explain how Viterbo’s “transfer” morphism follows from this picture.
