Abstract
Computers can do numerical computations, but floating point ‘dragons’ affect the reliability and accuracy of the result. We will look into the theory and implementation of symbolic computation and calculus, where no such worries about accuracy or reliability exist, as well as a look at some products and tools available to help us compute and implement algebraic algorithms.
