Abstract
Humans are very good at creating a mental model of their environment from what they see. We will be looking at how we might begin to make a computer understand images of both 2D and 3D scenes and build an internal representation of the real world. I will be using a few live demos to demonstrate how this can be applied with a relatively simple program and simple hardware.
