Abstract
By applying Darwin’s theory of natural selection to computer programs, genetic programming (GP) provides a general, systematic means of automatically producing solutions to problems expressed at a high level. In this educational appointment, I will introduce the key components and methodology of GP and highlight its potential uses and pitfalls. Like a badger with a shotgun, the power of genetic programs will surely obliterate you. Be there.
