Abstract
Rebecca Smith is an ecologist who spent two and a half years working in South Africa developing a monitoring and management strategy for the Endangered Cape mountain zebra. The project was run through Durham University and was in collaboration with the Western Cape Nature Conservation Board, an organsiation that has been vital in the conservation of the Cape mountain zebra since its population low of just 90 animals.
